Montecito Country Kitchen has a delicious selection of fragrant teas - perfect for all times of day, from a perfumed Earl Grey, to the Champagne of teas; Darjeeling, spiced teas such as Chai and Jasmine to a beautiful pink tea - Rose Hip and Mint Herb Tea, that is the perfect evening blend, free of caffeine and gently scented.
Our teas are sold individually packaged in clear top canisters and in selections of three to five teas. Brewing instructions are on each canister.
NEW BLEND - we have recently added a new black tea - 'Pascale's Blend' - a fragrant black tea that combines 3 different Indian teas.
MCK TEA POTS - we have a new line of beautiful cast iron tea pots. Each tea pot comes with a trivet and steeping basket.
CHAI TEA
A delicious spiced tea blended with a mixture of Cinnamon, Cardamom, Cloves and Pepper. Brew the tea and mix with milk, add a little honey or sugar and delight in the flavors of the orient and India. The Chai is presented in a clear top canister.

DARJEELING TEA
Darjeeling tea is often considered the "champagne" of teas. Only teas made in the Darjeeling region of India can be called Darjeeling. It is generally a lighter afternoon tea and like all teas it should not be left to brew for too long. The Darjeeling Tea is presented in a clear top canister.

EARL GREY TEA
Earl Grey tea was named after Charles Grey, the second earl in his line. Legend has it that the Earl was given the recipe by a Chinese mandarin with whom he was friends, and whose life he had saved. Earl Grey is a blend of Indian and Ceylon teas. The tea gets its unusual flavor from oil of Bergamot. Bergamot is a small acidic orange. This tea has a light refreshing taste, and can be served hot with or without milk or sugar, although purists would argue against the use of milk! It can be also used to make iced tea.

JASMINE TEA
Jasmine is the oldest type of scented tea. Its base is a Poochong tea - a tea whose leaves are slightly less fermented than Oolong teas. It is then dried with Jasmine leaves which impart the scent to the tea. Jasmine is a delicate tea and should be lighted steeped. It is delicious by itself or slightly sweetened with a little honey.

ROSE HIP & MINT HERB TEA
This natural, caffeine-free, herb tea is a delicious blend of Rose Hips, Peppermint, Lemon Grass, Hibiscus and Orange Zest. This tea is refreshing and invigorating. It also makes a great ice tea. Serve with a slice of lemon and a little honey or sugar.
